About Me
Fernando Vazquez
Product designer
Born in Pasadena CA and raised in Jalisco, Mexico, I am fortunate to say I have surrounded myself by two (somewhat) distinct, yet ambitious cultures all my life. My passion for the outdoors has followed me from my childhood to the present. It has defined who I am as a person since I am always involved in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, fishing and off-roading (to mention a few). In my early years of college I struggled to figure out what career to choose, nothing seemed satisfying until I learned about industrial design and the possibilities I have to create a positive impact on today's society.

As my studies in the subject progress, I have involved myself in the subject of sustainability along with the category of soft-goods and wearables. This field of design has provided me with the challenges I love to take up and has pushed me to dig deeper into current issues in hopes to find answers that our planet can benefit from.
I am a big believer of bioremediation and biomaterials.

While my greatest interests in design are soft-goods and wearables (footwear if I'm being more specific), I am always thrilled to tackle a project not related to these. It always brings me joy when I am able to solve problems and impact people's lives in a positive manner.

I live with the idea that I must always pursue virtue, have a purpose in every decision and be genuine to myself.
