A project focused on the development of fly-fishing wearables through the use of CLO-3D software. The process involves apparel construction research, sketch ideation and pattern understanding in order to translate ideas into the 3-D modeling software. Ultimately, renders are also processed in CLO-3D with Adobe Substance assets.
Understanding some fly-fishing jackets and waders:
Their primary function is to provide protection against the elements while also offering several options for organization. Comfort is a key factor as fly-fishing requires a lot of movement with legs and arms. Gear normally run loose fit to accommodate extra layers for low temperatures.

Translating the sketched concepts into digital garments: basic garment patterns are used to get the basic form of the garment, then detailed adjustments are done on the 2-D window.

SETTING UP THE FILE FOR RENDERING WITHIN CLO-3D
All garments receive an appropriate material thickness, hardware details, and final details on surfaces such as model resolution and top-stitching among others.
Materials are imported from Adobe Substance, the assets have properties that can be altered such as roughness, color and texture patterns.
Adobe Substance materials used for rendering:
•"Texture Hand Grip"
•"Polyester Stretch Interlock Back"
•"Spacer Mesh"
•"Polyester Burlington"
•"Cotton Technical Fabric"
Relaxed fit button up shirt.
100% recycled polyester.
A traditional look of men's wear in fly-fishing.
Wading Jacket.
Recycled polyester/ cotton.
A jacket that provides essential organization while also covering the user from the harsh elements.
Large pocket on back area fits large tackle boxes, hand warmers, smaller tools, etc...
Pockets are covered by large flaps to prevent water or dirt buildup on zippers.
Waders.
Recycled polyester/ cotton/ neoprene/ rubber laminate for protection and durability.
Lightweight yet durable, the intended construction offers optimal pocket accessibility while on the water. A more "technical" look manifests a statement of seriousness.
Padded mesh on back area for comfort and breathability
Multiple chest pockets for organization
Long front zipper for "when you need to go"
Reinforced belt loops
Zipper cover flap/ attachment point for small tools
